The park is home to the Somerset County Park Commission's administrative offices and is the location of the annual 4-H fair, and the Independence Day Family Festival. There is nearly a mile of frontage on the North Branch of the Raritan River for fishing and picnicking in two areas. Other features include athletic fields and model aircraft flying field.
