(732) 566-2161 The only State Park in Middlesex County offers a variety of plant and animal life found nowhere else in the state. The site comprises 1,300 acres bordered by Cheesequake Creek, an estuary of Raritan Bay. Explore the Nature Center and trails that meander through salt and fresh water marshes, hardwood forest, and white cedar swamp. Also visible are the remains of pilings from the famous Steam Boat Landing which served the area from 1800 to 1930. The park includes areas for swimming, picnicking, camping, fishing, and crabbing.
